Waco Kiwkform is a leading supplier of scaffolding, formwork and falsework products to some of the largest commercial and residential construction and civil engineering projects in Australasia. Operating as the Australasian arm of Waco International (an international organisation, employing over 4,100 FTE’s with operations on 3 continents, in 15 countries, at over 100 locations), Waco Kwikform entered the New Zealand market in the North Island in 2005 after acquiring the scaffolding and shoring business of Australasian Pacific Ltd (APL). The further acquisition of successful South Island business United Scaffolding (est 1972) was conducted in 2012. Currently employing over 200 people in New Zealand, Waco Kwikform’s activities are carried out via 7 Branches, with 2 in the North Island (Auckland & Wellington) trading as APL Kwikform, and 5 in the South Island, trading as United Scaffolding (Christchurch, Timaru, Queenstown, Invercargill and Dunedin).
Reporting to the General Manager New Zealand, the United Scaffolding Christchurch Branch Manager will provide strong operational leadership to the Christchurch branch (4 direct reports & approx. 20 staff) ensuring that all sales, performance and service delivery targets are achieved and ideally exceeded. With a motivational leadership approach, the Branch Manager will engender a positive and cohesive culture, ensuring that Health & Safety is paramount within their operation and driving the implementation and effective utilisation of robust systems and processes to enhance overall branch efficiency and maximise performance. The Branch Manager will also be the face of the local business, liaising closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers etc ensuring United’s Scaffolding’s continued reputation for quality, flexibility and excellence.
Applicants will possess a proven track record of experience in an equivalent leadership role, (ideally gained within a construction/industrial or related industry environment) delivering tangible improvements to an organisation’s sales and operational performance. Outstanding leadership, relationship building, influencing, negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with well-developed levels of financial and commercial acumen. A proactive and customer-focused approach is also required, in addition to strong project and contract management skills and a good level of attention to detail. The ability to inspire and develop your team to ensure the branch performs at the highest level will be the key to your success.
