The New Zealand Law Society (NZLS) is the professional body for barristers and solicitors in New Zealand. Established in 1869, NZLS regulates all lawyers practising in New Zealand, and is the membership organisation for practising lawyers. With 13 branch offices throughout the country, NZLS is the Kaitiaki (guardian) of the public, the profession and the law of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will provide human resources assistance and support to managers and staff. In practice this will include assisting with recruitment processes, managing employment records and processes, assisting with employee induction, and coordinating training sessions, seminars and other HR events.

A great candidate for this role will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be interpersonally strong, and passionate about providing a high standard of HR services. A relevant qualification in HR would be useful, as is exposure to working in an HR team or in a comparable business administration function. You will be a critical thinker, a good problem solver and have meticulous attention to detail. In return, you will be working in a rewarding environment, ensuring NZLS is an employer of choice.
