Christien Winter is a Senior Associate of Sheffield and was a Director/Partner of the firm from 1995 to 2021.
Business Experience
Christien is an experienced leader who has specialised in Human Resource advisory services for over 25 years. Her early career was in operational leadership, working for an international computer leasing company based out of the United Kingdom. With a keen interest in building teams and developing individuals, she joined Sheffield and was a Director/Partner of the firm from 1995 to 2021. In addition to practice leadership roles, Christien also served a term as the firm’s Managing Partner from 2004 - 2008. Christien was a Trustee on the Board of Leadership New Zealand from 2013 – 2020 and was also a member of the Board’s Succession and Recruitment Committee.
With business qualifications and experience, Christien has designed and implemented HR initiatives and led HR projects in both the public and private sectors. She has worked at Board and Executive level, leading projects across a broad spectrum of organisational leadership and performance consulting. This has included Executive Coaching, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Team Development and Change Management consulting, as well as Executive Search services for board members and senior leaders.
She also volunteers her time as a mentor through Business Mentors New Zealand and can speak fluently in the Spanish and Dutch languages.
