Business Experience
As an Associate Director at Sheffield Search, Patrick partners with clients to secure top talent. His recent strategic work includes key appointments for universities, research institutes, healthcare organisations, and central and local government.
Before joining Sheffield, Patrick served as the Asia Pacific and Middle East Managing Director for the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC). In this significant global role, he championed the executive search profession, managed critical stakeholder relationships, and delivered professional development programs.
Patrick's extensive career in Aotearoa spans various sectors, including higher education, government, and non-government roles. He was a lead consultant specialising in higher education appointments across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, and previously oversaw undergraduate program approvals at Unitec New Zealand. Early in his career, Patrick worked in the office of the Minister of Statistics, Women’s Affairs, and Youth Affairs, and held leadership roles as President of the Massey University Students’ Association and then the New Zealand University Students Association.
