InternetNZ is a not-for-profit organisation, and the home and guardian of .nz – providing the infrastructure, security and support to keep it humming. We use the funding from the sale of .nz domain names to support the development of New Zealand's internet through policy development, community grants, research and events. Our mission is an internet that is open, secure, and for all New Zealanders.
Having recently completed a governance review, the Council of InternetNZ is now seeking to appoint up to two new Council members to support its ongoing commitment to the organisation’s strategic development.
Across the two prospective appointees, the Council seeks qualities of professionalism, strategic orientation and collaboration. Additionally, the following attributes are also sought:
These positions are remunerated, and it is not expected that appointees have a background in all the listed areas. Previous governance experience is not essential but, for new directors, it would be important to bring a background in innovative leadership, themed on promoting diversity in relevant contexts.
