About the Role

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Technology Delivery is responsible for delivering UniMed’s technology architecture and roadmap to enable implementation of digital and wider business strategies.  The role also ensures UniMed’s ICT systems and services support all parts of the business, including data and business intelligence requirements, including effective management of vendor relationships and associated service level agreements.


Key Accountabilities

  • As a member of the SLT, actively engage and contribute to the development of UniMed’s strategic and business plans, delivering new and enhanced service and product offerings.
  • Align IT Strategy, architecture, roadmaps and initiatives with business goals.
  • Develop, monitor and implement UniMed’s digital technology roadmap and IT structure.
  • Develop and enhance data integration and management, and business intelligence systems/services to ensure effective operation and delivery of exceptional service to customers.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, prioritisation, deployment, migration and management of current and future technology.
  • Provide active vendor management across all domains and oversight of all service level agreements, system, program and equipment performance.
  • Act as Data Custodian for the business and ensure the technology and digital environment is secure with a sound cybersecurity strategy and programme of work.
  • Foster a team culture that is empowering, performance driven, client centric and delivery focused.
  • Develop and maintain strategic and operational relationships with key vendors, partners and suppliers.


Skills and Experience

In this active hands-on role, we seek someone who has balanced capabilities across all three of the following orientations:

  • Results – the ability to deliver effective business outcomes withing timeframes and budgets, working in partnership with third party vendors and colleagues.
  • Data – deep understanding of how data can enable and support service integration, workflow, customer experience and business decision-making.
  • Architecture/Design – Technical subject matter expertise to ensure alignment of strategy, design and requirements across solutions.

You will:

  • Be energetic, with a track record of successful delivery.
  • Be confident building effective and strong relationships, both internally and with third parties.
  • Possess an action-orientation and enjoy problem-solving.
  • Have a tertiary qualification in technology, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Have prior leadership experience in IT service delivery, and in leading and motivating high performance teams.
  • Possess demonstrable change and project management experience.
  • Have strong commercial acumen, negotiating and communication skills.
  • Be proactive and confident with a track record of delivering business results.

Experience in healthcare or financial services would be beneficial but is not essential.
