About The Role: 

As an Associate/Senior Associate within the Resource Management team, you will provide quality, tailored and supportive advice and service to clients.

Recognised for your breadth of knowledge and expertise, you will be a safe pair of hands that Partners can rely on to make things happen.

As the face of the business within the region, you will immerse yourself with local businesses and key stakeholders, actively participating in marketing and business development activities, forging valuable networks.

Your talent for people leadership will see you supporting and mentoring staff to grow their skills, adding to the firm’s services.

In addition, you will have:

• Strong knowledge of New Zealand resource management and local government law, including relevant legislation
• 8+ years’ experience with a specialty focus on resource management, public and regulatory law
• A proven track record in managing a complex portfolio of clients and providing sound legal advice to a range of public and private clients
• A proactive and client-focused approach to legal practice, with demonstrated ability to build effective client relationships and manage expectations
• Effective time management and work organisation skills, able to balance competing priorities and meeting deadlines
• A proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across the firm, with a strong team focus.
