This represents an excellent prospect for existing CFO’s as well as a great opportunity to step up for those who aspire to CFO level. This is a West Coast based role and can also be a hybrid/commuting opportunity for the right candidate.
Reporting to the CE, and a key member of the Executive Team, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for leading the finance team in providing the financial and investment services to DWC and associated operational and compliance requirements. The appointee will work closely with external advisors managing the significant investment fund and providing commercial finance to West Coast organisations, and have close working relationships with the Board, stakeholders and business community.
Skills & Experience:
Candidates of interest will be attracted to a role which combines the strategic with the practical and the diversity of activities within an organisation that is shaping the economic, social and cultural fabric of the West Coast region. You will be a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ (CA ANZ) and ideally will have:
- Strong commercial, strategic and financial acumen.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in front of boards.
- A collaborative style and strong community focus, successfully growing trusted relationships both internally and externally in the community.
- Knowledge of the commercial lending sector and lending processes.
- Some understanding of the functions of economic development organisations.
