- Well-run primary health organisation including a hospital
- Create positive health impact for whanau and communities
- Beautiful Hokianga location
Following the retirement of Hokianga Health Enterprise Trust’s longstanding and respected Pou Arahi Matua / Chief Executive Officer, a unique opportunity has arisen to become the new Chief Executive of this acclaimed community governed health service in the stunning Hokianga of Northland. The Trust's wide range of services include the Hokianga Hospital, primary care and disability support. The candidate we are looking for will actively demonstrate a deep commitment to health equity and a style that naturally seeks to connect people, whanau, hapu, marae, and community.
The Trust has successfully provided for the health needs of whanau and communities in a resource-constrained environment through the strength of relationships with staff, trustees, community, and stakeholders, along with smart management and clarity of purpose. The Trust needs to see the continuation of that formula for success in the new Chief Executive Officer.
The role will suit an energetic person with a solid track record in management, a leader with a genuinely warm style, and values that align with the Trust, including a strong sense of belonging within tikanga Maori. Whilst knowledge of the health ecosystem and the opportunities within it is an advantage, the Trust is seeking a leader with the right values first who will be passionate with them for the health of the Hokianga communities. The successful candidate will be strategic and have a deep understanding and passion for the issues of equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
