Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington seeks a visionary leader to guide the Faculty of Law into the future. As Dean, you’ll report to the Provost and provide academic and executive leadership, overseeing research, teaching, civic engagement, and stakeholder relations.
Located near New Zealand’s Parliament in Wellington’s bustling CBD, the Faculty is a hub of legal scholarship and research excellence.
You’ll shape and deliver the Faculty’s vision and strategy, oversee academic activities, enable student success, and uphold excellence in research. Representing the Faculty at various forums, you’ll forge academic partnerships and manage key stakeholder relationships, whilst incorporating new perspectives and technology.
You’ll be a committed, innovative leader with a PhD (or equivalent) who excels in strategic thinking, people leadership, and stakeholder management. You will demonstrate integrity and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, along with strong advocacy, communication, and collaborative skills.
