About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, and based in the Mount Wellington office, this is great opportunity to join an organisation in growth mode with ongoing acquisition activity. As the Management Accountant for the Infrastructure Services business units in the Horizon Energy Group, you will be working closely across the business providing financial analysis and insights to enable effective decision-making in the day-to-day business and for business growth and acquisition. Working with the wider finance team and the Infrastructure Services business, you will be responsible for the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts. You will assist the business in executing projects, promote adherence to financial best practice and conduct ad-hoc analysis as required to support business strategy and objectives. Key to success in this role is the ability to partner proactively with stakeholders, business unit General Managers and members of the senior leadership team, using your understanding of the business and best practice to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.

Skills and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant with proven management accountant experience working with Tier 2 or higher ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Pronto Xi experience preferred).

  • Knowledge of and experience in facility services/contracting business.

  • Proven knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards including IFRS 15.

  • Confident communicator with experience reporting at senior management level.

  • Commercially astute with the ability to provide timely and accurate advice to senior leaders.

  • Collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in cross functional teams.

  • Output and detail focussed with the ability to effectively prioritise.

  • Regular travel to Whakatane will be required.
