We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our client's New Zealand operations. Based in Auckland, this role offers the chance to be at the helm of a successful and well-established business in the construction and Industrial Services sectors, backed by a reputable international company. This role calls for a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex business operations. Reporting directly to the ANZ CEO, you will be a key member of the Regional Executive Team, responsible for developing and implementing the New Zealand strategic plan, driving new growth opportunities, managing resources and controlling operational costs. A key aspect of your role will be to foster leadership and motivation within high-performing teams, while building robust relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners and government bodies. Your ability to connect with both the frontline team and present at Board level will be crucial.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in leading a national or large regional business at the General Management/Executive Management level.
- Experience in the construction, Industrial Services or related sectors.
- Strong strategic vision and commercial acumen.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage business risks and ensure compliance.
- Excellent financial literacy.
