About The Role:

Reporting to the CE, and a key member of the Executive Team, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading the finance team in providing the financial and investment services to DWC and associated operational and compliance requirements. The appointee will work closely with external advisors managing the significant investment fund and providing commercial finance to West Coast organisations, and have close working relationships with the Board, stakeholders and business community.
Skills & Experience:
Candidates of interest will be attracted to a role which combines the strategic with the practical and the diversity of activities within an organisation that is shaping the economic, social and cultural fabric of the West Coast region. Ideally you will have:
- Strong commercial, strategic and financial acumen.
- Be a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ (CA ANZ).
- Knowledge of the commercial lending sector and lending processes.
- Some understanding of the functions of economic development organisations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in front of boards.
- A collaborative style, successfully growing strong and trusted relationships both internally and externally in the community.
