About the Role
The University of Waikato's Te Wānanga Toi Tangata Division of Education is seeking a Professor of Education to provide exceptional academic leadership. Located in Hamilton and Tauranga, the university is renowned for its innovative approaches to education and research.
The Division includes:
- Te Kura Toi Tangata School of Education
- Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research
- Te Whai Toi Tangata Institute of Professional Learning
- Poutama Pounamu
The successful candidate will excel in teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, administration, and professional/community/iwi service activities. Professors are expected to influence academic policymaking, set high standards of scholarship, and ensure research-led teaching. They will also undertake key academic leadership roles and support other academic staff in their professional development.
Ideal candidates will have proven excellence in teaching and research, strong leadership and collaborative skills, and a commitment to promoting scholarship and research-led teaching.
