About the role | Mō te tūnga
As Head of Operations, you will lead Systematic's Defence Services operations in New Zealand, running multiple customer projects simultaneously. This spans implementation of our SitaWare and IRIS suites, training delivery, technical support ahead of military exercises and test events, architectural and operational guidance, quality assurance, and the ongoing sustainment of integration work. You will prioritise and coordinate activity across the portfolio, working closely with your team to deliver to agreed scope, schedule and quality.
You will also be the line manager for our New Zealand delivery team, currently split between Wellington and Auckland, with Business Development and Business Services roles also part of the wider function. You will work closely with Defence customers, partners, subcontractors, the Service Delivery Manager and your international Defence Services colleagues, reporting to our VP of Defence Services based in Denmark.
The role combines operational leadership, customer engagement, people leadership and business growth. You will lead governance and reporting across the portfolio, contribute to future service offerings, support business development, and grow the capability of the local team.

We are looking for an experienced operational leader with a track record in complex IT service delivery, who brings structure, judgement and commercial awareness, and knows how to balance delivery discipline with strong customer relationships.
You are confident, engaging senior Defence customers, partners and internal leadership, able to translate customer needs into practical delivery plans and keep progress moving across competing priorities.
You are also energised by people leadership and can build capability, support development and create a strong local culture while staying connected to a global way of working.
