Chair and three Director roles for National Hauora Coalition
National Hauora Coalition Trust seeks a Chair and three Directors for its NHC Ltd company which oversees the operations and growing national footprint of one of New Zealand’s largest Primary Health Organisation (PHO). NHC has a nationally significant role in the provision of primary health services to Maori from the core value of Mana Whanau, Whanau Ora. NHC primarily seeks to improve the health outcomes and equity for Maori across New Zealand through partnerships and direct service provision in a manner that builds the capacity of Maori whanau to learn and grow in confidence to make their own informed health choices, reducing dependency on providers.
All Directors on the Board need to have sound and mature governance experience, a passion for health equity, Mana Whanau, Whanau Ora and the strategic intent of the Trust, a track record with successful partnership, commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, health equity and to Maori capability building.
As well as the required governance skills mentioned above, in 2020 the Trust is seeking Board members with a mix of the following skills: Maori health partnerships that demonstrate Mana Whanau, Whanau Ora, innovative thinking and a track record of positively disrupting the status quo to achieve strategic outcomes, sound governance attributes such as a mature understanding of the role of governance and management, excellent communications between Trust, Board and staff, people who understands the NHC vision and strategic intent, and who can understand cultural, economic, political, social and technical factors that impact on primary health.
All roles will be remunerated and are for a three-year term.
