About The Role 

Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure and Development, the Group Manager 3 Waters is a critical senior role responsible for providing leadership to 106 staff in Council's 3 Waters Group. With responsibility for large operational and capital budgets, this role represents an exceptional opportunity to build on the existing strong team culture, direct some significant high-profile projects and influence key strategic initiatives such as Council’s response to Water Reform.

 

Skills & Experience

Candidates of interest will have:

  • Governance experience with high visibility capital projects, managing large budgets and experienced in managing/fronting political matters with the community (including media)
  • Demonstrated experience leading change across diverse business functions and multiple teams, to deliver within a programme-based environment
  • Proven leadership skills building high performing teams, with demonstrated ability to build culture, engage and motivate people, preparing them for change
  • Good knowledge of the infrastructure sector, particularly with 3 Waters
  • A history of successfully collaborating with and developing positive working relationships with the public, diverse stakeholder groups, and elected officials.
