Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will champion the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Crest Hospital and Specialist Centre. Partnering closely with the Board, shareholders, and clinicians, you will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while delivering operational and financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape the hospital's future, drive business growth, and lead a high-performing Senior Leadership Team.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimise theatre utilisation, patient flow, and workforce capability while maintaining rigorous standards.
  • Growth & Innovation: Lead upcoming expansion projects, introduce new clinical technologies, and support specialist recruitment to broaden our care offerings.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee financial sustainability, manage budgets, and identify productivity improvements.


Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership in a hospital or healthcare facility, with a background in perioperative or surgical services and in creating high performing culture and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to build high-trust partnerships with credentialed specialists, clinical leaders and key stakeholders, with confidence partnering with and reporting to a Board of Directors, and across a broader healthcare network.
  • A track record of operationalising strategy, managing budgets, and driving financial performance concurrently with clinical and operational excellence.
  • Expertise in clinical governance, accreditation standards and regulatory frameworks.
