The Role: 

The Board of Rangiora High School seeks a passionate and visionary leader, to successfully implement the kura’s strategic direction.  You will contribute to growing a culture that values high achievement for all along with resilience and wellbeing across the kura.  Fostering an environment where all ākonga are engaged and experiencing success, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build great relationships with staff, ākonga and whānau and strengthen connections across the wider community.   

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Educational leadership experience in a large school and experience working with teams of leaders
  • An enthusiastic, energetic and highly visible approach, with an engaging style
  • A track record of success in successfully implementing strategy
  • Understanding of and commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • A focus on developing your own bicultural confidence and competence in te reo and te Ao Māori

Te Kura Tuarua o Rangiora is a co-ed school of 1,600 students, 30 minutes from Christchurch and is committed to Ākonga thriving in a centre of learning excellence, enabling them to contribute positively as lifelong learners.  The school’s new strategy is focussing on:
