Sheffield recently enjoyed partnering again with the Antarctic Heritage Trust to support them in their search for an Inspiring Explorers Programme Manager, with Mike Barber appointed as the successful candidate.
Mike comes to AHT from Bigfoot Adventures Ltd where he was previously the Operations Manager. He is passionate about both youth engagement and conservation and this role combines these elements together. Mike has extensive experience leading youth programmes and is well equipped to lead the next generation of young explorers.
In September, 22 lucky Kiwis aged 18-30 will join the Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ spending 2 weeks in the sub-Antarctic, exploring remote South Georgia by ship on the ‘Magellan Explorer’.
We wish Mike all the very best in his new role as he helps the Trust to succeed in its vision to create Inspiring Explorers.
