After a long career in the NZ Army, John has held the appointment of Chief of Army for the last five years.

John’s strengths include his vision, strategic thinking, leadership skills and extensive experience in running a large, complex, people-focused organisation. He has Masters Degrees in Management, Defence Studies and Philosophy.  John is well known for his collaborative and highly empathetic leadership style and will be a great addition to the Marlborough team.
