Steve has been acting Chief Executive since January and brings to the district a clear strategic focus, a commitment to the community with over 24 years’ experience in local government from frontline role to senior leadership positions.

He has a strong background in community-focused services and organisational leadership, and believes in open, honest and solution-focused approaches.

Steve commented his “focus is on building on the work already underway, continuing to support our people, strengthening our partnerships with mana whenua, and working alongside our communities as we shape what comes next for Selwyn”, noting the next period would be critical for local government.
