We thoroughly enjoyed our Team Day Out volunteering at Trees for Canterbury in their nursery on Wednesday. During a rare sunny winter’s day we spent the afternoon meeting the staff and volunteers working at Trees for Canterbury and helping them pot seedlings.
Trees for Canterbury is strongly linked to the community, providing education, trees and carrying out plantings with community organisations and schools throughout Canterbury. They help create a sense of involvement for disadvantaged people in the community providing an environment of acceptance and support for training and self-development.
Sheffield South Island are proud to be a sponsor of Trees for Canterbury. This sponsorship has helped contribute to their recent purchase of the Tuatara, their first and only vehicle for the nursery.
We encourage you to support this fantastic not for profit community organisation and all the good work that they do!
Thank you Laura, Steve and the fabulous team at Trees for Canterbury.
