About Us

Alliance Group is a global leader in procuring, processing and marketing the world's best quality red meat products. We're becoming a food company with world-class processing and livestock capability and our products are enjoyed in more than 65 countries across the globe. As New Zealand's only 100% farmer owned red meat co-operative, our aim is to maximise returns to our committed farmer shareholders and support them to operate profitable and sustainable farms.

The Role
Alliance Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Human Resources practitioner to join our HR team as the Regional HR Manager. The role will provide HR leadership and support two of our meat processing plants (Pukeuri and Smithfield). The role will be responsible for delivering the group wide HR strategy in the region, helping drive plant performance by providing human resource business leadership and guidance to plant management, ensuring plant compliance with company policy and legislation in relation to employment and people management, promoting the company's culture and supporting plant teams to manage positive employment and industrial relations. This position reports into the Group Manager - HR and will work closely with Plant Managers to form trusted business advisory relationships.

The successful candidate will ideally be based at either our Pukeuri or Smithfield plant, with regular travel required between each site. Applicants who wish to be based at our Christchurch office may also apply, with regular travel to both plants required.

About You
We are seeking an experienced HR professional with demonstrated success in HR leadership, preferably in a manufacturing site, large industrial site or across multiple sites. Critical to this role is the ability to develop strong business partner relationships with plant management in the region to deliver great people and business outcomes. You will have extensive experience across the whole range of HR business support including workforce planning, recruitment and talent management, employment relations, culture and change leadership, remuneration and rewards, training and development.

We are looking for professionals who thrive in ambitious and transforming environments and bring a strong sense of personal drive and accountability to deliver.   In addition, we welcome applications from professionals who can commit to living the values (Care, Accountability, Communication, Team, Initiative and Courage) that underpin our way of working.

Sounds like your kind of role?
If being encouraged to pursue excellence every day inspires you, you'll fit right in here. Not only do we strive to be the best in New Zealand's market, we're also a global brand with ongoing projects to keep us moving onwards and upwards.

If you believe you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role, we would like to hear from you.

With our ongoing commitment towards health and safety, you'll undergo a pre-employment drug test that will form part of your application.
