Congratulations to Barbara Phillips, who after an extensive search process, has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer with Westland District Council.
With a background in delivering large complex capital programmes and working extensively with urban and rural communities, Barbara comes to Westland District Council with vast experience in Central Government having worked for both the Ministry of Health in New Zealand and more recently with Queensland Department of Health as the Deputy Director General, Corporate Services and Covid Supply Chain Surety.
Having lived on the West Coast earlier in her career and with family based there, Barbara is strongly community focussed and looks forward to rekindling existing relationships and developing new ones.
