From its base in Dunedin the company operates newspapers in Canterbury, Westland, Otago, and Southland, television stations in Christchurch and Dunedin and printing operations in Alexandra and Greymouth. The flagship of the group is the highly regarded morning publication, the Otago Daily Times, which was founded in 1861 and boasts the longest daily publication record of any newspaper in New Zealand.

Paul comes to the role with previous experience from both RNZ and Stuff. He has extensive newsroom exposure and likes to see newsrooms work collaboratively. One of Paul’s key strengths is extensive engagement and relationship building within the community, and he is looking forward to bringing the Otago community together in this role.
