Sheffield recently enjoyed partnering again with The Court Theatre in the recruitment of their new Sales and Marketing Manager, Virna Smith.
Virna is a passionate marketer who began her career in South Africa, gaining unparalleled experience in the retail space, and established herself in leadership roles as a respected Marketing Specialist.
She spent her first few years in senior marketing roles in the retail industry where her vast knowledge and experience was highly regarded.
Her passion for tourism took her on a five-year journey as Head of Marketing for a New Zealand owned hotel group and, in keeping with her passion for travel, tourism, hospitality and retail, Virna then went on to join Christchurch International Airport Limited as Marketing Manager, Brand & Retail.
“Embarking on experiential marketing strategies, with campaigns telling ‘our story’ and showing off our beautiful ‘back-yard’ to both locals and international visitors alike, has most certainly been a highlight in my marketing career.”
As an ‘out of the box’ strategic thinker, coupled with her passion and broad range of expertise, experience and enthusiasm, Virna will be a huge asset at The Court Theatre.
