DLF acquired PGG Wrightson Seeds in 2019. PGG Wrightson Seeds are a seed and grain business supplying proprietary grass, forage and cereal seeds to farmers; seed and related agronomy products to the turf sector; and edible grains for human and animal nutrition. They operate across New Zealand and Australia and export seed to more than 40 countries around the world.

 

About The Role: 

Based in Lincoln and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer – DLF Group in Denmark, the Chief Executive Officer – Oceania will provide strategic and operational leadership to 550 people across the Oceania SBU business. As a member of the DLF Group Executive Management Board, the Chief Executive Officer – Oceania is also responsible for strategic development of the entire global DLF group.

With the long serving CEO – Oceania retiring, this is a rare opportunity to lead this highly respected and thriving Oceania business on the next part of its journey. Key areas of focus will be to:

  • Implement the new strategy “Connecting to Grow”;
  • Strengthen market leadership while creating value for customers;
  • Optimise operations to improve business performance;
  • Develop the people, culture and organisation to match the needs of the business.

There will be regular international travel requirements as a member of DLFs Executive Management Board, including global travel.

 

Skills & Experience:

As the ideal candidate you are a visionary strategic leader focused on both leading and developing a business and an organisation. You have solid experience from within the agricultural industry understanding the full value chain from the science behind our products to the application of them with our customers and end users. You are an experienced leader with a strong focus on innovation, empowerment, organisational development and engagement.

In addition, you will:
